Tooth Sensitivity
Listen to your teeth’s whispers of discomfort and respond with gentle care.
Your teeth can become sensitive for a variety of reasons, excessive force due to bruxing, root area exposed, or the pulp of the tooth is dying, and requires root canal treatment. As an occlusion/bite specialist, Dr. Bloom finds that the majority of tooth sensitivity can be corrected through wearing a custom-made bite splint that protects your teeth from the ravages of bruxing while you sleep. What is not widely understood is that the action of bruxing (clenching and grinding) asserts tremendous pressure on the teeth, thereby inflaming the surrounding ligaments, they fire, and you feel pain, and sensitivity.
