We’ve Gone High Tech With Bite Analysis

by Pamela Bloom | Oct 1, 2021 | master restorative dentist, custom bite splint, pankey dentist, stop my TMJ pain, TMJ pain, why am in cracking teeth | 0 comments

  • Welcome to Tekscan-Digital Occlusion Analysis system (btw occlusion is just a fancy word for the bite).

Whether you’re new to our practice or a patient of record, you know our mantra-we have to get your bite right. We follow this truism for even the simplest of treatment. If you’re a patient you know the tap, tap, tap on the red and blue tapes so we can see how your teeth are coming together. Now we’re stepping up our game-enter Tekscan, a unique system that gives us a digital read on your bite. By lightly biting on the T-scan’s sensor pad, data is transferred to their software interface, creating a high resolution scan of your bite dynamic. The scan shows us the forces on your bite—we’ll show you where you’re hitting hardest, why teeth have fractured, sensitivities and the bite interferences causing your occlusal muscle pain. As an occlusion-centric practice we love accuracy and you’ll love the visuals.
